Bermuda Offshore Model Boat Association(BOMBA) was founded by Damon Simons(President) and Derek Simons(Race Director) in February of 2008.

With over 50 years combined powerboat racing experience dating back to the 70's,with multiple National Championship,we decided to do something with our spare time....Race R/C Powerboats!!!

After having fun over the years at our local pond,it was decided that we have a fun day with a few friends and present members, which lead to the organization of BOMBA!

BOMBA was formed to promote and facilitate scale Offshore Model Power Boats which range from 4'-6' feet using 23cc-70cc petrol engines.

We held our first official race day in April 2010 with 7 members and ended the season with over 20 members,with membership numbers climbing ever since.

We were allowed to operate under the umbrella of the Bermuda Power Boat Association(BPBA) which allowed us the opportunity to race competitively with organized rules,in front of much larger crowds. BOMBA has since been very positive about what we do in which SAFETY is our main concern!
